“Jrvezh” Forest-Park was established in 1977. Now it occupies 404 hectares , from which 260 hectares are covered with forest. The artificial plantations are associated with natural semi desert and mountain-steppe landscapes. Introduced species of trees, shrubs and gardening forms are more than 100 (Abies nordmanniana, Pinus pallasiana, Larix sibirica, Thuja occidentalis, etc.). The natural flora is presented by more than 300 species of vascular plants. 21 species of rare and disappearing plants entered into the Red Book are cultivated in the Forest-Park (Platanus orientalis L., Juniperus polycarpos, Juniperus sabina L., Amygdalus communis, etc.).
